Sahel App for Civil ID: Status, Renewal and Common Fixes
Sahel is Kuwait’s one-stop government app, and it covers a lot of PACI work. If you’d rather tap through a few screens than take leave from work to visit an office, this Sahel app civil ID guide shows everything you can do for your civil ID in Sahel, how to set it up properly, and how to fix the problems people run into most.
What is Sahel?
Sahel (سهل) is the official Kuwait government services app. It brings services from many ministries and authorities into one place, including the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), the Ministry of Interior, and others. Kuwaitis and expats both use it, and you log in with Kuwait Mobile ID instead of a username and password.

Sahel problems and quick fixes
- Login not working: Kuwait Mobile ID must be active on the same phone. Open it first and make sure your digital ID loads.

- Service missing: update the app. New services sometimes only appear in the latest version.
- App crashing: update your phone software and clear the app cache, or reinstall.

- New phone: set up Kuwait Mobile ID on the new phone first, then log in to Sahel.
Staying safe with Sahel
